Motor Trend at it again!

For f*cks sake, I wasn't putting down the V6, I was praising it. And don't go saying that a blown V6 can beat a V8- that's not a decent comparison. If you put a blower on a V8, good luck with keeping a blown V6 up to speed. A better comparison would be a blown 4.6L and the SC 5.4L.
Happy Motoring!
Happy Motoring!
What the V8 got is 600cc more, which ain't much.
Everything is relative... A Supra with its straight six 3.0 (I think) is a lot more capable than a blown 4.6.
Again, Torch makes the more sense...

I also read the same article, and motor trend is my least favorite of the 3 car magazines I subscribe to.. If i remember right they were really bashing the 4.0 hard for its low output compared to the v6 camaros and challengers and how ford didn't take any measures whatsoever to upgrade the v6 in 2010..
pretty much everyone puts down our engines but whatever, I couldn't be happier with my 6 soooo they can go to hell ( :

LA Preview: 2011 Ford Mustang V6 makes 305 HP, gets 30 MPG

The last person to ride in my car said... "If feels like I was just loaded into a slingshot and let go".
The last car show I went to, someone said "Wow, it is rare to see a blower like that on a 3 valve" and I said "Yea, and even more so on a 2 valve"
Numbers are relative. I haven't had my car dyno'd, so as far as I know, it is still only 210 hp So when it comes to some mag telling me my v6 should be on the end of an anchor.... I will gladly drag that anchor across there parking lot while still wooping up on the Honda he probably drove into work

The current 4.0 is pretty lack luster. It's using 4 liters to make 200 hp? That's absolutely terrible. Even Civics make that much power using 2.0 liter motors. Even a 1992 Prelude made 200 hp with 2.2 liters. The 200hp number on the V6 Mustang is absolutely unacceptable.
As for this "Well if the 4.0 was boosted it would be faster" well, obviously. It's a modded car now. How much does boost cost on a 4.0? Like $5,000? And it still may lack many of the other features of a GT like the larger front brakes and better suspension.
I'm glad people enjoy their base Mustangs, but I don't understand the lack of inflection to realize the motor is lack luster.
And stock for stock, that Honda will blow right past you.
