I have a 2005 mustang I have had for 2 years now. I bought it used and I need to find out if it has the side airbags for it as I am purchasing new seat covers. If anyone knows of an easy way to tell, please let me know.

Tag on the door side of the seat back or check the 4th digit in your VIN number.
F = driver/passenger air bags & active belts
H = front and side air bags & active belts

my seats have a little tag on them saying airbag, so i would assume all seats with side airbags would have that little tag

The seatcovers have a tag you have probably seen while entering the vehicle.
Its right on the side seam and about where you would expect the air bag to be...

I didn't realize that they put side airbags in our cars.

like he said. its easier to find the non side air bag seat covers.

I don't think they started adding the side airbags till about 2007. The 05-06 I don't think had them. Unless someone cut them out, they will have a tag stitched into the side of the seat that says "AIRBAG".

I would love to get seat covers, the light tan just gets filthy fast.

i hear that, i hate my tan interior, it gets dirty to easily, i want a dark charcoal one.

oh an mine is an 06 with the side air bags
