hey guys, i know everybody says that aftermarket throttle bodies are just utter pieces of crap. unless you have FI. so has anybody here with FI used an aftermarket TB and also see gains by the TB?

I use the Zabteck TB with my X-Charger. nav dyno'd it with his X and saw 8 rwhp gain if I remember right.

TB's on NA engines are worthless.

I think I would need more feedback on a TB for FI applications.

I have the Zabtek with the X-Charger, never dynoed it, but Nav did get 7 rwhp with it and about the same amount of torque. On the other hand another person had the same setup and only got 1 rwhp. So there's your window! 1 to 7 rwhp....it may depend on the tuner also. It's not bad for the money though. It really helped my throttle response at least, plus I did the throttle body bypass and it cleaned up that as well.

I don't have the tb bypass since mine is an 07, but I do get a whistle when I accelerate from the butterfly valve being part way open. I wondered if it is the x-charger valve or the TB valve. *shrug*
