Default What to do?

Ok, so in the next few months, I should have about 3k to spend. I'm in need of some opinions/recommendations. As far as the drivetrain goes, I'm stock, so should I save up for the intercooled "X"? Or should I get some gears and an aluminum DS, and then save up for the X? Any helpful advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm gonna assume it'll probably be better if you have the car ready rather than getting the X and wrecking the axle. I hear it's hard to stay out of boost when the power is just a foot stomp away.

Ok, so at the very least get gears installed? I thought the stock gears were strong enough to handle the X under normal driving conditions?

What I meant as far as "normal driving conditions", is not racing. It's my DD, so of course I know I'm gonna want to punch it. But like I said, I have no plans on racing.

Soooo, after a long debate with myself, I decided to pull the trigger on a set of FRPP 4.10's for my 7.5 from DTS. Well, at least I thought I was going to get them from there, until I got an email saying that FRPP discontinued the gears, and they offered to sell me Motive 4.10's at a cheaper price. Well, I decided to get the gears from AM since even with the free shipping, the gears are still cheaper than from DTS. I also got a differential girdle, and T-Lok from American Muscle. I also bought the bearing kit RP 75w140 (3qts). Also, so I can finally install the GT sways I bought a while back, I ordered Steeda's rear sway end links, and some poly bushings from Moss. Now I'm like a 6 year old, waiting looking out the window waiting for Santa to fly over his house LOL. Once the stuff for the rear end comes, I'll go out and get some friction modifier for the installer. She's finally starting to come together! Next is the Shaftmaster DS. And hopefully the intercooled X-Charger in a year or two!
