Need opinions...resto project
Hey guys, ive been wanting to restore my grandpas truck ever since he passed away in 2001. Its a 1964 chevy that his dad bought brand new and has been passed down the line. Id just like to have everyones opinion on which motor, tranny, and whatever other input you have on what I should install or at least look into. I dont have a ton of money, but i think i have enough to at least start. Anyway, Id like to keep the truck as original as possible while still having a little get up and go. Any info you guys have will help a ton.
Thanks!!

GM ZZ3 or 4 crate engine. T350 or 400 trans. Great power and cruisablity. Easy install.
Classic Performance Products in Anahiem Ca. has a ton of products that will enhance your 64. Tilt steering columns, power brake kits, air bag setups, suspension components.
There are several companies that have a/c systems for your 64. Vintage Air, Old Air.
Classic Trucks, Custom Classic Trucks and Truckin magazines are full of advertisers that cater to those year trucks. EVERYTHING is availible now in the aftermarket to completely rebuild that truck back to stock or hot rod it to your hearts desire.
