Smile Hurst shifter stiffness

I , along most of the stangs with the hurst short throw shifter are having that hard stiffness problem.I came across the ford racing catalog and saw theres a shifter rebuild kit
part # M-7211-A . It says its compatible with our V6 and GT tranny's. Has anyone tried out this product and had good results? . I am just about done with this hurst shifter and converting to stock .

I was wondering the same thing...

And OP if worst comes to worst you can put your stock shifter back in and get urethane bushings to replace the stock rubber ones, I hear that is a hell of a difference.

Keep in mind that the sixxer tranny is rather primitive (T5) and clunky.
The same shifter feels a lot better on the GT.

i had a hurst shifter in my old t5 and loved how stiff it was. thats just my opinion. my gf put the urethane bushings in her 07 5spd and its a lot smoother on the stock shifter.
