Default reconnecting battery...+ first or second?

Quick question for you guys. Had to disconnect my battery and now I'm going to reconnect it.

Do I attached the positive (+) cable FIRST, then the negative?

Or do I do the negative (-) cable first, then the positive?

Thanks guys. Couldn't find this info in the owner's manual.

I usually just disconnect the positive side and leave the negative connected.

I always reconnect the + cable first then if my wrench slips to the chassis someplace I do not get a short circuit. Reconnect the - cable last and if that accidentally shorts to the frame of the car with the wrench slipping, nothing will happen.

Wrong.
Wrench could touch chassis and short battery causing a real bad acid explosion...
Positive first, negitive last when re-connecting battery.
Oppisite when removing battery.
And no jewelry such as rings, please.
They get awful hot when they short the battery terminals...

haha sorry guys. Simply stating how I usually do it. I'll be sure to switch up the arrangement next time. I usually throw a cap on the battery terminal though, any points for that haha

Hey, thanks everyone.

After a bit of research, I found the proper way to do this is...

When Disconnecting....negative first, then positive.

When reconnecting....positive first, then negative.
