I had hinged aluminum rear louvers on my '82 5.0. If I were in the market again for them, I would get these. They are hinged so you can lift them up to clean the back glass;

Same basic install again, but those do seem damn sweet.

Wish there were ones offered that actually required a pro install, I donīt mind paying if I know itīs actually strapped/bolted to the car back there.

The ones on my '82 were bolted to a bracket at the top. I suppose you could drill holes if you are concerned about the security of them.

Here's what mine looked like;

And that's why they are cheaper. You definitely do not want Plastic Louvers. They will crack and fade over time. At least with the Aluminum ones, you can spruce them up and repaint them after you have them on your car for a while.

I had hinged louvers on one of my older cars and they keylocked at the bottom on both sides. If I had more patience, I'd have bought hinged. The A-H are a bit of a PITA to remove and put on. Half the times I wash the car, I leave them on and it's about as much pain if not more to do a good job drying the window.

Nuke, I just put two thick screws in there with a grip around the edge. Since the car stayed in the garage most of the time, I never had to worry about thugs trying to mess with it.

I wouldn't buy them just because the description next to the picture says you should "Personalize the look of your Camaro with these side window louvers". I don't think Camaro's can even have side window louvers...
