2010+ Adjustable Headrest

2010+ Adjustable Headrest
I ordered a set of adjustable headrests from MRT and installed them today. Excellent product. The materials and "fit and finish" are great. The adjustment allows me to bring the seat back more vertical without being hit by the stock headrest, due to its tilt forward. The material and stitching matched the V6 "premium convertible" interior perfectly - including the stitching. If you are looking for more "adjustability" in the Mustang seats, this is a great addition

They do make the headrests with other covering materials. They have a phone number you can use to ask questions at this web site http://store.mrt-direct.com/11a100.html
I am not connected to MRT - just a satisfied customer

I need a set of these. The stock headrests don't really bother me much, but my wife hates them. The problem is that when I want to drive us somewhere in the Stang, she wants me to take the Explorer so that she is more comfortable. And, that is just a drag to drive unless I want it for snow/rain/cargo space.

I'm in the group who hates the factory head rests, and every one who rides with me hated them.
I got a set from Mustang Depot for my 2012, they are great. Here is a link to the video on how they work. http://www.mustangdepot.com/OLC3/Interior/headrest.htm
They are very adjustable, just pull them forward to the position you like. If you pull them all the way forward, they release and do all the way back. All of my passengers love them!!
Btw, Thanks Radio Guy for finding these!! I was ready to take the factory ones apart and bend the frames, not sure I want to be responsible for them in a wreck tho.

I'm a seat tech. One thing you can do that won't cost you a penny is to take the headrest out, turn it around backward and then reinstall it back into the same holes. Works great! Just won't "lock" into place like it does when it is in the forward position.
I don't even think it looks bad.

Hey all
We have a 2011 and hated the headrest, So we looked at the adjustable ones and found them kinda ugly.
We went to a place here in Austin and had them mod the original ones. They look perfect and are exactly how we want them, and how they should be from the factory IMO.
