He means your heat / ac controls. Before you turn the car off, make sure the heater / defroster / ac is also turned off. If its still on when the engine is turned off you will here the blower motor for the vents spin down.

Instrument cluster? Really? lol

Ah I see, thank you very much! That blower was the thing making that peculiar noise, again thanks for your time

Turn off the radio (turn the power to it off), then turn the car off.
The Shaker stereos will try to "shuffle" CD's, and it sounds like an overactive hard drive.

It's not the shaker system because my car does it and it doesn't have the shaker stereo. It's the blower motor in the vent system.

Yea my cluster makes the same noise when the car is turned off. You also want to make sure its not your headunit with a CD playing since even though when the car is turned off the radio still runs until a door is opened...

mine makes a very high pitched sound that sounds like something really really small is slowing down.......or maybe just "electrical juice...draining?" lol

It's not super consistent but....it's never really bothered me....anyone else have this sound?

If you can still hear the sound after you get out of the car and close the door, its not the stereo. Never in the history of CD players has there been a head unit that ridiculous.
