....... so the dealer let me drive the 500 they had on the lot and I had the biggest smile on my face the whole time, wish I had 33k at the time, the only bad thing about that one it was a auto.

The automatic isn't an option on the Shelby GT500. If it had GT500 badges on it then it is likely a mis-badged 4.6.

If it simply had the Shelby name on it, then it could be a Shelby GT which was offered in either 2008 or 2009 and the automatic was an option, or a Shelby GT-H (which all had automatics)

If that dealer did have one with a Shelby GT500 body kit and badges on it, and an automatic, I bet that if you looked under the hood there either wasn't a supercharger on it, or if there was it was on a 4.6L and not the 5.4L
