Hurst is alright but it has some rattles that don't really go away

Thanks. Would the rattle result from not having the right insulation for the custom shifter?

Not really. Hurst are a fun shifter but they are one of the cheaper ones. My buddy has one in his 05 GT and it rattles a little bit, not much though. I know the install was right cause I put it in. lol

If it does rattle slightly though, you can prob sound deadened it down a bit.

Thanks, I've been told that hurst is the way to go, and that its been a trusted company for a while. I'm definately looking forward to recieving and installation.

My understanding is if you use the stock bushing from the rear in the Hurst shifter it takes care of the rattle issues. I have a friend with a Gt did this and used lock tight on all the mounting bolts, and no rattles whatsoever

Heard the same but I'm sure it will take away some from the stiffness/performance of the shifter.

Spend the extra cash and go with an MGW! Its well worth it!

Have you experimented with hurst, as well as MGW?
