Help installing a GT switch with the Street Scene fog light harness
I'm going to install the street scene fog light harness in my 2007 v6 convertible. I have a GT switch and I was planning on using that instead of the toggle switch that came with the harness. I did some searching on how to do this but I'm not sure if I understand it correctly...
It looks like all I have to do is splice the yellow wire from the SS harness into the orange/lite green wire from the factory harness. Is that it? Do I need to do anything with the black ground wire from the street scene harness?
Thanks,
Mark

Made a mistake, the street scene harness doesn't have a black wire it just has a yellow and red. The red is for the rocker switch and isn't needed with the GT switch.
Now I have another problem. I spliced into the orange/green wire and the fogs are working correctly but the light on the GT switch for the fogs isn't working. The lights for the parking and headlights are lighting up fine. Do I need to run an additional wire to power the light for the fogs or is the bulb out?
Thanks,
Mark

sorry i have been out of the country working on a project till October. the little light on the switch will not work as it get feedback from the factory harness. you need to run a jump wire. if i may ask , if you have the 2007 you may already have the pony pac harness and all of the wires should be there. i am on the east coast so send me an email and i will try to help you out. good luck.

Hi afixer,
Here is a photo of the my fuse box from under the hood. Can you tell if I have the pony pack wiring from this (even though I have the base model)? If not do you know where I'm supposed to run the blue wire? I'm guessing I tap into the red power wire for my fogs and run it to a fuse but I'm not sure which fuse.
Thanks,
Mark

the problem is as i am 2000 plus miles away from home in Toronto Canada i do not have my hard drive with all of my pdfs on it. i will try to look around to see. the kit will work fine just not the little green light. it is pretty dim and i don't even notice it when it is on. the driving lights are what do it for me. i will be filming here until October sorry.
