These are in fact, some of the best engineered, highest quality Bolt in roll cages on the market. The MM cage is a nice peice, but there are some key differences that make the RPM cage a step above the rest.

Some facts to note:

• The Maximum Motorsports cage IS NOT NHRA LEGAL out of the box. NHRA rules dictate that the rear down bars from the main hoop must be welded, not bolted. The MM instructions state that their cage must be first bolted and fitted, then taken to a professional welder to have the rear down bars permanantly welded to the main hoop.
• All RPM Roll bars come 100% welded and are a true bolt in installation. NO WELDING REQUIRED!
• The Maximum Motorsports cage DOES NOT have an NHRA CERTIFICATION TAG on the cage. Tracks are getting especially strict and most Techs look for the chassis tag to prove NHRA authenticity.
• All RPM Roll cages each come with their own individual chassis tags with date of build and serial number, proving NHRA CERTIFICATION to the tech inspectors. RPM Roll bars is an NHRA certified chassis manufacturer. YOU DON'T PASS TECH, WE BUY THE BAR BACK GUARANTEE!
• The Maximum Motorsports cage is not designed with the use of sandwich plates on the main hoop bolt down area. This is the area of the cage that takes all of the stress during a roll over and must be sandwiched for strength.
• The RPM Cage comes with sandwich plates for all mounting points of the cage, meeting and exceeding NHRA dimensions.
• The Maximum Motorsports cage comes BARE and UNCOATED. You need to fit the cage and remove it to be welded then coated. Some spray can it or send it off to be powder coated. Cost cost cost.
• The RPM Roll cage comes fully coated in standard powder coating for mild steel cages or base coat/instrustrial strength cleared for Chomoly Cages. But the coating options don't stop there. All cages can be custom color paint matched or hydro dipped for that carbon fiber, skulls, ****** wire, reaper etc look. The coating options are unlimited!
• The Maximum Motorsports S197 Cage doesnt list a swing out door bar option for S197's, just standard fixed door bars.
• The RPM Cage comes with swing out door bars that are 100% NHRA legal and completely removable in seconds. Just remove the pin and lower bolt and out it goes. To protect the paint, RPM has added carbon fiber look inserts in the swing out area. This prevents the paint to paint contact that causes chipping.
• The Maximum Motorsports cage has a rear shoulder bar attachment that is not recessed to allow for full factory seat movement, front to back.
• The RPM cage has a specially designed rear shoulder bar that allows full front to back seat motion.
• The Maximum Motorsports cage has a very involved installation process that has several steps to complete. From removing the interior, fitting the cage, removing the cage, having a professional welder weld the rear down bars, getting the cage coated, and then reinstalling.
• The RPM cage is a true bolt in, 100% welded, 100% coated, ready to install roll cage that can be installed at 8am and ready to hit the strip that evening. Normal installation times vary from 6-8 hours total, depending on how familiar you are with removing the seats and rear panels.

The maximum motorsports cage is a nice piece, but understand the important differences between the 2 cages when comparing costs. If you add up all the time and money for install, welding, and coating for other cages, the RPM cage is an excellent value for a cage of the utmost in quality, precision fit and finish built by an NHRA certified chassis manufacturer.
