im not too sure. i just know our service writer ordered it for a v6 mustang and it bolted right up, no mods to anything...

You can order the 8.8 with the correct pinion flange from NTO so it will bolt right up. Does it have a posi? 7.5 rears don't from the factory

Yep, all 8.8s have T-Loc from the factory and NTO.

Currie Enterprises makes one hell of a 9" rear end for the S197.
You need boookooos of HP to actually need one...
$1350 for the basic before add-ons...

Crate Rearend housing and axle package for the 05-08 Mustang.
Features the 9-Plus notch back heavy duty housing and 31 spline
Currie performance axle package built to the stock overall width
and pinion offset specs. for the vehicle. All stock suspension
brackets are installed in the stock location for an easy bolt in
installation, including a heavy duty upper control arm bracket
with Johnny Joint® rod end installed for the upper control arm
bracket. Housing includes all 3rd. member studs installed and the
Torino style late model large bearing housing ends. Axles include
the stock 5 lug wheel bolt pattern drilled in them, the proper stock
size wheel studs installed, ¼” thick heavy duty bearing retainer plates,
tapered Timken style wheel bearings pressed on, and the factory
ABS reluctor wheels. Also included is the Currie caliper brackets
that allow for the reuse of the factory Mustang rear disc brakes
and ABS hardware. Units are sold each.

I can't find the 8.8 anywhere on NTO's website?
When I click on drivetrain it leads me to 3.31 gears and front GT Rotors, that's it?

It appears that they no longer stock the rearends. ****it I was going to order my own in a month or 2.
