So are they asking $16K for that car??? If so, tell them they can jump in a lake! You can find Mustangs all day long for that price NOT wrecked.
I agree with the post above, offer them $2K and see what they say. They may not take it because they know they can get more by selling the car for parts.

Yeah I wouldn't offer more than $2k. It's hard to tell what's really wrong with it, and more stuff might pop up that you don't know about and could cause headaches down the road

I think they are saying that it is worth 16k when it is all fixed. It's at a salvage auction so idk how much it will go for yet. But, I watched some end today that were pretty similar to this one go for 2-3k.

Well my PP mustang with 31K miles in almost new condition was only worth 13K, so I doubt that one that has been repaired extensively is worth 16K.

I have only 10k on my Pony Package and according to Kelly Blue Book, it's only worth $14K. I bought mine brand new. So I too doubt that wrecked Mustang would be worth $16K after it's repaired.

Avoid it unless they pay you to take it off their hands.
Buckeled floorboards are a good indicator of a bent unibody.
The S197 does not have a frame nor the adjustments to
correct for any subframe misalignment.

In that state, it's a $7000 car max and I still wouldn't pay that much.
And no, no frame damage.
The door is wacked at the bottom, that's why it sticks out on the top and the window can't be flush.
That creates even more damage because your upholstery will get wet...

That looks like 10k in damage with paint and such. Selling it would probably be a pain too.

If you wanted to make it a track car, it would be suitable, but I would stay away in any other situation
