Default Manual Tranny fluid recommendation? (other than ATF)

I changed my oil to Mercon ATF, but it is a disatster. so hard to shift into gears.
I just filled until it spills out. then I stopped and waited for minutes, and then put the fill plug in.
ALso get my short shifter. But I don't think that's the problem of the problem.
my post describing problem is here:
https://mustangforums.com/forum/gene...tallation.html

In short, when engine is ON, it's hard to get in gears. When it is oFF, it's smooth. seems it's the synchros. and some say it might becuase of the fluid. (don't really have serious sync problem before)

Anyone has some other recommendations about MTF on our T5 tranny? Don't really feel comfortable with ATF in my tranny.(and not sure that's what caused my synchs problem?)

see. but also some people say our T5 is different that we can't use MTF in them. really confused on what oil should use.
BTW, could my problem be a bad clutch? (not fully released?)
any idea to diagnose it?

just got the car, it's high mileage, so have no idea if the clutch is good or bad.
it is definitely not slippery.
but i can feel the clutch's engage point is very low. Is there any way to adjust it?

It's hydraulic so you can only bleed the line which I did when I replaced my clutch and it's a pain. Check the fluid level

did the bleed help? I just want a higher engage point. (some other people also doubt that my problem is caused by not fully disengaged clutch)

if the bleed can like "adjust" the clutch pedal, and can help the clutch fully seperate, that should help
did the bleed on my civic si when I changed my clutch. I will see how difficult it is.

hate that there's no other way to adjust the clutch pedal. on my civic si, there's some bolt I can adjust.

RUN from Royal Purple. I used that and within 100 miles was convinced I was going to have to have the synchros replaced. Put amsoil in and havent had a problem since.

Run to AMSOIL.
Avoid the inferior Royal pain in the **** Purple.
Put the AMSOIL ATF in the tranny and its slick as greased pig.
Problematic shifting disappeared. Cold weather operation
is just as warm weather. Smooth.

CLUTCH BLEEDING PROCEDURE:
Point the stang uphill at a 45 degree or better
and fully depress and release the clutch a few
times to fully bleed the system.

Well for one you put automatic transmission fluid in a manual transmission, that may be one thing wrong, but it may not affect it much, I don't know to be honest.

Also, the correct fill level is 1/2 inch below the fill plug so if you filled it till it overflowed then you put too much.

I used RP Synchromax and it works fine, much better than the stock fluid, 55k miles on my 09' GT.
