So the last couple of times I went to start my car after a few days sitting in cold weather, my CD player is searching for a disk, but my radio is not on! I always make sure that I turn everything off before I turn the key off.
I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the battery or is it just the POS Shaker 500?

My 1000 was doing the same thing for a while. It did it for like 2 days and then went away?? I haven't tried to use the CD player since then.

I had that problem before using the Battery Tender Plus in 2008. I would crank the Pony about once every 2 weeks. No problems since. If you are still on the original battery, might be time for a new one.

Yep, it's the original battery. I may get one of those solar battery chargers. You plug it in the aux. outlet and lay the solar panel on the dash. It even charges on cloudy days.
I feel like as long as the car starts, the battery will be OK.

Sounds good to me. We are lucky that the Aux Outlet is always on, even with the ignition off in our ponies.
