Default Just bought 2012 v6 premium need to make faster

Just bought the 2012 v6 premium. I want to get it to where it can run with the v8s and I need suggestions on what I can do with it. I also would like suggestions about body kits, exhausts, etc.. Thanks.

Well just like 05-10, you are trying to play catch up with a car that has 80-100 more horsepower(rough guess). A tune and cai and you will be staying with the 05-10 stock gt's, with some gearing you should be passed them. To catch up with a 5.0 you will probably have to venture down the route of forced induction.

Tough to answer w/o knowing how deep your pockets are. As stated above, if you want to run with the 5.0's and mid-modded 4.6's, you'll have to go FI. And even then it may be a struggle. But with a CAI & tune alone, you should be able to stay with and likely beat stock 4.6's.

You either need the 2 piston upgrade package or a procharger. tune, cai, nitrous, gears, cam's, header, exhaust - all that will help too.

good luck.

If performance was your concern, why'd you buy the V6? For the amount of $$ you'll put into your 6 to beat an 8 you could have laid out a few bucks more for the 5.0 and then you'd have a platform to continue modding with more power as time went on.

True ^^

Hopefully, I can talk my wife into getting a new V6.. after seeing American Muscles car, It'll be another toy for me to play with..

I already asked her if she got it, if she'd let me put parts on it and the response I got was "Only if you pay for them!"

The v6 was a present after finishing college. My pockets go very deep, could y'all be specific(maybe some links) for upgrades on the car? Thanks.
