Default Adjustable Valve Lash?

My 08 V6 developed some valve train ticking after changing the oil.I don't remember if it was 5-30 or what but I do know that I got what was recommended for the car. Synthetic blend Mobil 1. 48K on car

Is there any adjustment on the valve lash?

Thanks

If it began immediately following an oil change, then I'd assume the oil weight is incorrect. It wouldn't be the first time that an oil change place has done an abortion. The V6 gets 5W30 while the GT gets 5W20.

Item 16, hyd lash adjuster.
Non adjustable.
Direct result of improper oil viscosity.

Sorry to hear it, but yeah, you need to get the right oil in there. Bummer!

Well, this is bad news then.

I double checked and I did use 5-30 Mobile 1 synthetic blend. I did the oil change myself. I very seldom, if ever, let anyone else work on my car.

My wife has an 08 Lancer GTS. Last oil change came due and I was out on the road(truck driver) and she took it the Mitsubishi dealer to save me from having to do it when I got in.

I walked in the garage and noticed some drips of oil on her side. I looked under the car and they had rounded off the oil plug and then couldn't tighten it enough. I had to drain the oil (went ahead and changed it again) and get a new plug. Mobile 1 full synthetic in that car..not cheap.

It's stuff like that that really pisses you off. The guy knew he rounded it off and all he had to do was go grab another one. Nobody will take care of your stuff like you do.

Anyways, back to the Mustang.
