Default Procharged V6 Hits 11.20 in Quarter Mile

Read it here: Procharged V6 Hits 11.20 in Quarter Mile

Of course, this isn't the first V6 ever to get these kind of times, but it's the first 2011+ one to do so. At least, that's what the guys at Mustangs Daily say.

Anyway, it's fast. Check out the video in the link above.

Smokin'!

AM hasn't yet on their V6 - I wonder if CFM has done a gear change/aluminum DS on this car yet? Time to go reading..

Best line yet - Imagine, Mustang V6 fuel economy and insurance rates, now with Camaro SS, HEMI Challenger and even 5.0 Mustang GT stomping performance.

Wow, I can't wait to see someone do a twin turbo set up on one of these!

Indeed - these engines are pretty stout, even a low 7-8psi turbo should be pretty darn safe with stock internals. I wonder if a low psi build would give the results that these Prochargers are delivering tho.

I did hear about some folks working on a turbo for the s197 over on Modded Mustangs, but don't think it's been followed up on recently.

There is someone on the Collective (Jennna) who is working on a turbo kit for the 3.7. She made a kit for the 4.0 and is making close to 500rwhp on hers, and I believe she is on stock internals.

This is why, when it is time for me to buy a new Mustang, I will be looking long and hard at the 3.7. If the Nissan GTR can get 540 hp from a twin turbo v6, Ford fans should be able to get 350-400 hp easily. And look good too!
