Default 13.2 rotor swap on 08 v6

So my 2011-2012 13.2 rotors and brackets arrived today and I swapped them out. Also gave me a chance to paint my calipers. And after I got rid of the junk stock rotors all I can say is wow. Braking is so much better and responsive. And gives the front of the car a beefier look with the big rotors and painted calipers. Got a few pictures that i took.
Only negative was I had to unbolt a bracket which supports the brake line to allow for the caliper to clear the bigger rotors and fully turn.
Also installed the Duralast C-max pads and am very impressed with them.

Old rotors and brackets and new brackets(came with new calipers) and new rotors

Overall I am very pleased and is worht every dollar of the 125 i spent to do this. Got the rotors calipers and brackets from ebay from Roush with less than 5 miles on them

im waiting for it to warm up to do this. ive had them sitting in my house since xmas. how hard is it to fully take off the calipers? do you have to bleed them after?

I didn't change the calipers. To my knowledge they are the same on the 05-13 mustangs with the exception of mustangs with the Brembo package. So I used my existing calipers and just painted them. I did not remove them from the car so I didn't have to mess with bleeding the brakes or anything.
The only reason I got new calipers was because its the only way I was able to get the brackets was if I got the calipers too.
This is by far the best bang for my buck for only spending 125 for all this. Huge difference

Ha nope. But when you do your 13.2 swap remember you'll have to disconnect a tab which holds the brake line to I believe the strut if I remember correctly. The bigger rotors and brackets put the calipers further out so you'll need to disconnect that tab so you can fully turn with out running out of brake line
Good luck to ya. You won't be dissapointed.

Mine are also in the Garage awaiting install.
Thanks for the brake line tip.
Did you make an extender for the bracket
or just let the hose and mounting tab float
free under there?

I guess 2013 GT brake hoses are also needed for the swap?

Hahaha actually saw that post you put up 157db. Got my rotors calipers and brackets from your eBay links. But I haven't gotten to a permanent fix on it yet. I just disconnected the tab. Got some slack out and zip tied it to the strut. Personally I have no desire to disconnect brake lines and have to bleed them and all. I would have gotten new lines if there wasn't enough slack.

Make sure its a UV stable BLACK zip tie
not the NEUTRAL colored non-UV stable ones.
It is your brakes after all. No need for
Arkansas Ingenuity here.
I will be milling up a bracket for mine...
Better safe than zip tied around a tree
or the trailer hitch ball of the truck in
front of you...

Where U at in Ark ArkV6?
