Will 2011 CAI fit in my 2010?
I was wondering if this CAI will fit in my 2010 mustang v6.

It says 2011 and up, but I was wondering if anybody knows if it would fit in a 2010.
If it doesn't fit, what would be a good CAI I could buy? I don't want a tune right now, I just want the CAI alone.

No. The 3.7 is different from the 4.0. I have a JLT and love it, but it requires a tune. Just putting on a CAI doesn't really give you much of a power increase. It's what the tuner does that makes it run the way we want.
Long and short of the matter. No it won't work. If you are buying a CAI, buy a good one and a tuner with it. Don't throw away your money. I did with a BBK CAI first. It fit nice, but didn't give me what I thought it should be. I put on a tune but still didn't like the output. I went to the JLT and reset the tune. What a difference. Night and Day. Hope that gives you an idea.

I was also thinking about getting a CAI with a tune. I was going to get BBK, SCT tuner combo pack on AM. But you mentioned that the BBK wasn't what you expected. Why did you like the JLT better? I think that JLT CAI requires a tune and BBK doesn't. is that main difference? sorry to hijack thread.

The custom tune is where the majority of the performance gain comes from. Get a CAI/tuner combo and you won't be dissapointed! The custom tune really wakes up the 4.0's!!
If you are worried about voiding the warranty, you can install a (non tune required) CAI, such as an Airaid CAI. With this particular CAI, you will have the option of driving with the stock tune or a custom tune. I highly recommend getting a custom tune, to fully utilize the CAI's capabilities. With an Airaid by itself (no custom tune), you will not feel much of a performance difference (3-5 HP). With an Airaid CAI, you will have the option of changing the custom tune back to stock tune, whenever needed and you WON'T have to re-install the stock airbox. Airaid is the company that sells their CAI's to Roush and Roush slaps their logo on it! I've never had any issues with my Airaid CAI and am very happy with it!
