Definitive Answer.. GT500 4-Piston on v6
So I've browsed through the forums several times, and can never seem to find the answer for this.. I'm seeing yes, and I'm seeing no...
so here goes.
I picked up a set of GT500 Brembo 4-piston brakes, and 14" Rotors for dirt cheap a while back, and with spring coming it's time for the install.
Do I need any type of mounting bracket for these to fit on the fronts of my 06 v6? Or will they bolt directly up and fit fine with the 14" rotors?

You *should* need the mounting bracket. The larger rotors will be to big for the brackets on your V6. I could be wrong but doubt that I am. The OEM rotors you have are what 12in vs the 14in you want to put on? I really think you need the GT500 bracket.

Also, this package doesn't show you needing any type of bracket.

Youll need the Brembo Calipers you have, as well as the brackets that were made to go with those Calipers. When I upgraded to the new 13.2 in rotors (11-13 GT) i had to get the neccesary brackets (11-13 GT).

The newer looking brackets are for the 11-13 GT 13.2 rotors and the dirty ones were my stock v6 brackets for the 11. something stock rotors. You can see the differences in the brackets to compensate for the bigger rotors.
Same thing as you except i did a 13.2 rotor conversion and your doing the GT500 14 in rotor conversion.
Bottom line: Youll need the brackets to convert to the 14 in rotors with the brembo calipers
(also I used my stock calipers as the front calipers from 2005-13 on both v6 and v8 are all the same 2 piston calipers) GT500 is a whole different story.
