Totaled my 2012 GT April 19th. Test drove a bunch of cars and decided on a 2014 Mustang V6 with tech package and performance package. Should pick it up in a couple of days. Oh, and it cost less than the insurance check!

I started out with a 2008 GT, 300 hp. When the 11's came out I got jealous and eventually traded - but not because I was unhappy. I was just stupid. Test drove a 2.73 V6 and found it somewhat lacking on the low end, but I think the 3.31 will make up for it. If not, a 3.55 or 3.73 will do it.
If you look at the mods on the '12 you'll see they were mostly oriented to handling, and that is what I truly value. I love Mustangs and think this will be a real keeper for me.

DON'T GO TELLING ME THAT!!! I'll be 58 and I'm getting itchy to see what 2015 and 2016 hold and am seriously considering the GT500 or whatever they put on the street equivalent... If I'm going to die, let it be with skid marks in my underwear from doing 160 or better...

You'll never lose the itch. I never have, for sure. I just came to the conclusion that there is a balance of horsepower and handling that make for a fun, responsive car. I was blasting around Atlanta Motorsports Park with 412hp and the 300hp BMWs were right there with me (well, I gained a bit on the front straight).
