What do I look for to see what options I have. I have read that some of these have a locker rear. I do not think that this is a total base model.
Thanks for any info and advice.
Matt

You don't have a tlok in the stock rear end - only those who put one in after market or swapped to the 8.8" rear end have the tlok. No 2005-10 V6 came from the factory with one and it was not an option.

That is the base V6 front bumper, grille, and side stripe. The tri-bar fender badge was added because only the Pony package came from the factory with that fender badge. It looks like you might have a GT take off rear spoiler as well because I believe that the base V6 came with the flat spoiler and not the GT pedestal (also found on the pony package in 2006). Those are the base V6 16" wheels. The Pony package had a different side stripe and the 17" GT bullitt wheels in anthracite.

Oh, and welcome to the forums, good looking 2006! Windveil blue I think is the color.

Thanks Jim, for the info. I am real happy with this car and if this is the base V6. It impressed me. I was not looking for a hot rod but for my needs. It is plenty fast. More then I was expecting. That is why I wondered what level it was.
At first, when I was going down to the dealership to check the car out. From what I saw in the web site. I was not too thrilled about the color. But when I got there. I really liked it.
Thanks a bunch

Put up a picture of the engine bay and we can tell you if it has the stock intake. If it doesn't, then you may have a tune on the car.

That is the stock intake set up so no tune. If it's an automatic a tune and CAI really wake it up. Don't bother with the "no tune required" CAI because as my wife says "you are spending a lot of money to have it look pretty". Get one of the CAI and tune packages from American Muscle.

If you REALLY want to wake up the 4.0, my favorite way is the Xcharger Xtreme (now with a better blower available too for the next level). This was my 2006:

Thanks for that info. I will look into it. I am sure I will go that way. I know that I am not going to be able to just leave this car along.
