Default picked up some takeoff axlebacks

im gonna cut off the mufflers and put some pipe in there instead of spending 400+...

Not following the logic, why buy the mufflers then? You could have any shop with a pipe bender extended tail pipes. Have you driven it with out the mufflers that should pretty much be how it will sound.

because i want to retain the stock clamp. Also i like the gt/cs tips.

yes i have driven it without the mufflers and i like the sound but it will sound different for a fact.

From what I've heard the 4.0 sounds like dog crap w/o the muff.

btw... anyone trying to do this... make sure you find v6 take offs... the gt is 2.5" and the v6 is 2.25"

And M/T V6 take-offs as well....

The V6 AUTO muffs sound carpy...

The point was to take out the muffs haha..

btw also the jegs 2.25" socket pipe does not fit... For some reason it is too big...

I'm just ordering the pypes system when I get the moolah

The pipes ahead of the Y are 2.25", after the Y 2.5". The muffler unbolts and is easily removed, no need to cut anything.
Stock GT takeoffs are a great cheap muffler option.
