Default Someone tried to break into my car! Mother Effer's!

hey guys... im not sure completely when it was but my key hole is all messed up

I have owned this car for like two months and already its been tampered with...

My questions are... there is a piece stuck in there. how can i get it out? also the metal ring around the key hole is bent. is there an easy way to straighten it out? how easy is it to get the mechanism out?

Sorry to hear that. It's a shame there's people out there that do this kind of stuff...

But anyway, seeing as you have a 2014 model, you should take it to the dealer. I don't know if the bumper-to-bumper warranty would cover this, seeing as it isn't something that just messed up on its own. Maybe you should try calling and asking first or maybe someone here more knowledgeable will chime in.

I believe since the damage is not caused by a malfunction or a defect, this would be covered by insurance under vandalism, which means there would be a deductible (depending on how you have your insurance set up),

Either way, this really sucks, I am glad they did not do any type of damage, although if I were you, if you do call insurance, inspect every inch of the car, just to make sure they did not screw it up somewhere else.

Good luck, and keep us posted

just see how much the dealer wants to fix it or see how much the parts are by themselves and fix it

well im thinking since its just the key hole im not that worried about it cosmetically since no one can really see it...

im debating taking it out though and straightening it up. if i do that and get the piece out i should be good to go...

i dont really want to pay the deductible.. and im not gonna just go to the ford dealer and say here fix this and take all my money...

also i have already inspected the whole car and found nothing. luckily.
