Default stock wheel refurb

why cant I just upload an image?

Oh well...I have light corrosion on my stock wheels, I think they r chrome. I will figure how to put a pic up later, just wondering what color paint I should get after sanding? My ride is a v6 2008 stock chrome? wheels. Will any chrome paint work?

this is what I found:
http://www.carid.com/universal-paint...t-4014580.html

But will it match? I am not going to refurb the entire wheel. Just the corroded areas.

That's pretty bad. You may want to sand them off and then polish them all to make them all shiny. If not you should talk to a Ford dealership and see if they have the matching paint, they may give you a can. My brother trashed his silver rims and we repainted them that way.

Those are not chrome, they have a polished Aluminum lip and spokes with silver painted pockets.

I have silver Cobra replica wheels and I use my Wife's Dupli-color silver touch up paint, which is for her old VW Passat. It actually matches really well.

Those look like the stock wheels. around here, you can buy used ones on Craigslist for $100. Not as cheap as refinishing, but they will be a better match.

I hope this is useful.

If you lived in Arkansas I'd sell you my stock '11 17" wheels and tires painted matte black with matte clear for 200 bucks!
