Default Rebuilding the drivetrain

So as you may or may not know, I grenaded my T5 a 3rd time, luckily around tax time. I haven't pulled the trans yet cause the clutch enjoyed the input shaft in it too much but I can tell you guys what I have done so far.

So I got a buddy who has done way more mechanical work then me to come help me take everything apart and find out what i need to fix it. So we get the car in the air and I knew something was screwed up other then the trans but didnt know what it was but I was guessing it was the rear end or a broken U joint, so we turned 1 tire and the other did nothing, definate sign of rear end. We pulled the driveshaft then the rear end cover.... Wow is all I can say. I have never seen more bald gears in my life, there were like 3 spokes on both sides of the differential that was moving it which explained my difficulty in driving it haha

So I now have on my build list a auburn 7.5 diff along with a rear end rebuild kit and about 5 extra crush sleeves and ordered the required tools from sears. Was a really long day today but hey I gave myself a reason to slap in my 3.73's i ordered a year or so ago.

As I said I was not able to remove the transmission with the limited time I had in the shop today but tomorrow I will be removing bell housing and all since it doesn't want to go alone. I will keep you guys updated.

Oh yea, plans are... sticking with the 7.5 rear end while im in italy and ordering a tr3650 to be sent here (expensive) and getting the adapter plate from gaylon. Pictures when its over

I have the tr3650 a long with an 8.8 + aluminum DS. I am telling you the car is much more solid and I am putting down close to 360rwhp and I beat on it, not one issue!

Check the mod list in the garage. It made 347/337 with absolutely nothing on the car but the supercharger (yes even stock exhaust)... I have added more then a handful of performance mods since then, need to get it re-dynoed/tuned.

Longtubes, TB, high flow cats, no mufflers will help tremendously. The car wasn't breathing optimally with the stock exhaust.

You'll love the TR3650. I've got it in my 4.0 with an 8.8 rear and that trans is sex compared to the T5. The adapter plate is a little chattery, but otherwise, it's a bad *** upgrade.
