A/C not cooling at idle
Ok here is the deal. I am looking for a TBS or others who may have experienced this problem to see how they resolved it.
2005 4.0 with 109,000 miles. Up until 2 weeks ago everything was fine then the car at idle A/C on would shutter and then get smooth. The outlet temp at the center vent use to blow at 40 and now at idle heats up to 70. At highway speeds the system blows at a constant 40. Checked the A/C pressures and found on the high side the pressure would hit 350 before the engine fan would kick in. Replaced the high pressure switch with a motorcraft unit and no difference. Thinking the Freon was to much we pumped the system down and refilled to specs. The problem still continued. Anyone have this problem and if so what resolved it. Or do you know of any TSB on this?
Thanks
