Stranded and need help!

Ok, I have an 05 V6 convertible and it has never failed me until now. I had to go out of town for business and after checking into the hotel, I went back out and it wouldn't start! It gave me absolutely no indication beforehand and I had just started it about 45 minutes earlier. It sounds like it's not getting fuel and it won't push start. I had thought to check for air in the fuel line, but I can't find a purge valve.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for all the ****ing help...

So you didn't call for a tow or a service center to come and get you? Your first reach out for help was to a forum in the evening CST??? You're stranded there and you have internet access to contact a forum???? Did you search for a tow service or service center?

in any case....

Well... I hope you got it all sorted out.

Push start? I'm guessing it is a faulty wiring job

Maybe a few more symptoms would have been of help. Batteries often fail catastrophically while we're driving but you'll never know as long as the alternator can support the load. Shut her off and you're kaput. But since it wouldn't push start, AND you stated it sounds like it's not getting fuel then it must be cranking. Did you check the fuel shut-off relay? It may have spuriously tripped.

Had I seen this last night (and I'm 1 hour ahead of you and since I get up at 4 am I had probably shutdown about the time you posted this) I likely would have tried to assist. Let us ****ing know what it was.

Really? Because someone didn't reply instantly?

Redfire6er 07-15-2014 09:19 PM

Instantly..........The next day. Hahahahahaha..........OP is an angry beaver. Call a tow service genius. AAA

JJHoover 07-16-2014 12:19 AM

More info on your ****ing car would help as well, mileage mods etc. can you tell if the fuel pump is running?

Ask motel desk clerk for nearby mechanic.

Noticeably the OP hasn't responded. I do hope he got it fixed and back on the road...

You're ******* welcome.
Like your Sig says... don't be a ******* Mustang snob!
Also, you should have ******* called your Daddy instead of consulting us.

How's that for help?

On a serious note, you're not worthy of any help really, if you're gonna have that attitude.

pascal 07-25-2014 06:44 PM

I age very well. :)

Wow! Some people just expect us to be on here 24/7 I guess.:icon_wake:

OP people on here are very helpful but when you are stranded call for help......like a tow truck. Then when you are at home with more time and patience, ask for some advice on here.

kdryan 08-31-2014 08:32 AM

I need to apologize for this, guys. I was unemployed, low on cash, 200 miles from home and interviewing for a job I didn't get. My stress level was at about 50 on a scale of one to ten. In the end it turn out that somehow the emergency fuel cutoff had gotten tripped and all that was needed was for it to be reset. Found that one out after having it towed and Firestone spending the day sitting there wondering if I was even going to be able to afford to get the car fixed...

So, sorry for being a douche....

BlueBellThunder 08-31-2014 08:57 AM

Wow, I thought this was OneGoal reincarnated! I think everyone on the board will appreciate your apology.
