I wonder what she looked like?!?!?
How does someone not have enough self respect to let their belongings get to that state?
Car is coming along nicely.
BTW, I have some rims that will really bring that car out along with other parts to help dress her up from my old Mellow.
Let me know

Thanks everyone! Really appreciate all the compliments. Got some restoring done on the plastics.
Somebody on one of the forums suggested this to me, so I went ahead and got a heat gun from my detail department and it came out pretty good. Make sure you click the youtube video, you can literally see the transformation in front of your eyes.
You'll recall that this is what it looked like before.
So we got to work with a heat gun.
You can see where we've done and haven't done.
All done with the heat gun.
Then I shined it up and compared to the original pic...

Wow, that's harsh.
Anyway- I just happened to see this and the pictures of the shifter gave me flashbacks to the beater '97 Camry I had a couple years ago.
When I bought the interior was clean but the surround and the little plate thing that moved with the shifter was all screwed up (it didn't show it as being in the right gear), and partially falling down in around the shifter, so I pulled it off to try to fix it. Holy crap, I found 14 years worth of junk down in there, I'm not even sure how all of it got through that opening. There was a set of somebody's house keys on a keychain, a pair of reading glasses, candy, gum, fossilized French fries, and probably $3 worth of change, among other things. Amazing the sort of things you find in vehicles sometimes.
