UPDATE:

Ok, not only the OP but other members asked us to re-open this thread as folks find it informative and helpful.
I happen to agree with that as well so............... let's keep it alive.

In the meantime, members that comes here and try to cr@p on this parade will only get covered with their own so you're warned.

Thanks.

Thank you very much for re-opening.

Well I ran into a problem yesterday. Wife calls me and asks me to bring her work keys to her. I get in the car after it's been raining all morning. Soon as I start to move the car a waterfall appears from behind the glove box and absolutely soaks the carpet.

So full of leaves and crap.

Just imagine how much water was under the carpet, in order to have this much above it.

I'm really really really seriously hoping that I don't have to remove the entire carpet. Got it opened up in the shop, gonna leave it here at work tonight with the fan blowing on it.

Yep.
Either discard it or trim it so the opening is much bigger and won't trap leaves anymore.

Wish I had known that before it rained. Gonna check that on my wife's mustang Wednesday.

DSargent and cruisin, you both need to chill or else.

Also, anyone that use a car as a personal trash can doesn't deserve to be treated fairly on a trade in.
If you don't give a schit about your own car then why would someone else give you a fair value for it because in that case, no one is taking advantage of you. You're simply an idiot.
Besides, that woman wasn't forced to sign the papers, was she?
The OP did nothing wrong.
Well said !

Maybe you should have used a water vacuum cleaner and then leave it to dry out through the night , I had a 1967 for sometime and the first time I took it to the drive through car wash I was left with lots and lots of water inside the car ( I thin a 1 CM of water puddle)

most of the water leaked out as the car was old enough and few holes here and there were on the floor panels , now the temperature in Dubai during summer is around 45ºC (113ºF) so i left it out there in the sun with open windows for 3 or 4 hours and it was dry

I would disagree with that being well said. Sounds more like a moderator making a threat- a little unprofessional if you ask me, but you know all to well about that.

I don't believe I have derailed this thread. My post have been on topic referring to the first portion of the first post. I'm just offering an opinion that most seem to not agree with on here.

If you would like for people not to post what they think about the transaction then you should edit the first post and not include that portion.

Back to the "build" let's keep it on track guys.
