It's not as much a random guess as a hypothesize based on data collected. I'm about 99.9% sure that's the issue. But the water is coming from somewhere on the front of the cowl, so unless you remove the entire dash (which I'm not about to do) you can't really follow the exact path.

Wow, what a thread. Great job so far! I know I may be weird, but that almost looked like fun cleaning that all up. The dirtier it is the better it feels to clean it all up. You can't beat the deal for putting in a little hard work!

Yep. That sounds about right, things were going way too smooth.

Let it dry out before you do anything. When mine leaked, I started the car, blasted the AC on recirculate, locked the door, and let it run for an hour and a half. I know this isn't the time of year to run the AC, but getting the moisture out is the main thing right now. You will be amazed at the puddle below the condensation drain.

OK so... first, I stumbled in to this party quite late in the game. I'm utterly aghast at the condition that car was in... yet... I know that this is not as uncommon as one might think.

A "Premium" V6 to boot.... and what a shame it was treated so poorly.

I think with all that's been done here... and it's continuing story you could have a book or wee TV mini series: MUSTANG RESCUE

Thanks guys. I cleared the code and it came back the next day. I'm thinking clogged. I'm going to try and get it cleaned out this Thursday.
