Cool Track-lok springs

If you compared a "Track-lok" unit and an "open" unit, how can you tell the difference between the two? If they are sitting on a table side by side. Is there a spring visible on one of them? Or is the difference the visible four (clutch) discs opposite the ring gear side that barely show?

Agreed, by far the best money I have spent on this car, right up with good tires, shocks, and a watts link.
