The 4.0 is a very strong engine (other than the thermostat housing). On my 2006 I had a 75 shot of nitrous on it for 2 race seasons - at 90,000 miles pulled the nitrous and put the Xcharger Xtreme on it. The car was still running mid 12's when I sold it in June 2012 with 203,000 miles on it. And the new owner is still driving it and has had it to the track several times.

The thermostat housing went out at 199,881 miles - just luck of the draw on that - and alternator at 156,000 miles. Other than regular maintenance very little had to be done on that car.

Hey guys its friday night and it means i already see the car the V6 4.0.L, first of all, AMAZING.
Why i never tought buy one before, what a engine, what a sound.
The interior:
The car is in great shape, the actual owner on free time take care of is ride, the interior great to, nothing damage or broken, i check on the two places of front for rust, everything ok.
Have 2 set of rims, winter and summer with tires.

The motor:
plastic thermostat housing is in good condition, without leaks, owner had bought one new one year ago, and a alternator.
in general without leaks oil or water.

Drive:
my first drive driving a automatic, its fantastic, i dont know why isnt standard in european cars, the motor in exterior sounds good, without "bumps" in interior its good too, the run smoth and good brakes too, after i gain trust in car, and permission of the owner, i gave a good acceleration, fells responsive, the transmission good too, i dont see problem when shifting or noises.

So i take a big step and said yes, so i have a new menber in my family

Congratulations. The key is going to be a problem for you, unless there is a Ford dealer who can cut and program the key for you. It has a chip in it, and the only way to program a new key is to have 2 working keys to start with - with only one key you can't program another key on your own (prevents a valet from making a copy).

Funny how in America most cars are automatics, but Mustangs are one that we look to get in a manual. In 2005, about 7% of American cars came with a manual. 30% of mustangs did.

#1 on the thermostat housing. Mine cracked apart at near-exactly 100,000 miles. Luckily I was 10 minutes away from my mechanic's shop when it happened. Was about $275 to replace/refill with coolant if I recall correctly.
