Mustang doesn't use the same inflator as all of the other affected cars. The inflator assembly is vehicle specific, so his car will need a replacement part specific for the Mustang.

Takata's problem appears to be their choice of propellant.

I was under the impression that the parts were not necessarily vehicle specific.

Hi Deysha,
Thanks for your help. I had the air bag recall done at my local Ford dealership yesterday.
I think its the first to be done in the UK
I would not have known if you had not alerted me.

I love seeing Mustangs in Europe. I saw one in Sweden many years back.

Have the new ones hit the dealers there yet?

Hi,
UK dealerships are taking orders now, and they are expecting deliveries in the autumn, this year.

You may like to look at this article, and compare the differences between the USA and European specifications.

I wonder how well it will sell by country? Seems that Sweden is very into American style muscle, but others not so much.

There seems to be quite a lot of pre orders in the UK.
The suspension is one of the main things that's been changed for our twisty bumpy roads.
Only time will tell how well they sell over here. Of course a lot of people will say that a right hand drive Mustang , looses some of its charm !

I went on a Baltic cruise last year to Sweden, Helsinki, Russia, Estonia, and Latvia. I thought it was cool seeing Mustangs in Sweden and Helsinki. I was disappointed that I didn't see a Mustang in St. Petersburg or Moscow, but saw a Camaro instead (and H2 Hummers and Tahoes). In Estonia and Latvia, I saw a Harley Davidson F150 and a couple of Dodge Ram trucks!
