I read on another web forum about a on going class action lawsuit against Ford for factory contaminated hoods that cause most 2005- 2009 to have hood corrosion. Does anyone know any new info on this lawsuit ??

no info on the lawsuit, but it's happening on the 2010-2014 cars too.

How the hell can Ford still be producing vehicles with contaminated Hoods ?? Unbelievable Hopefully soon they will have to fix this problem they created.

If you find any more info on the lawsuit, fill us in here. While my car was still under warranty, I had Ford fix it.

Are you the original owner? If not, have it fixed or pick up a new hood.

I'm guessing the hoods come assembled from a supplier.

I'm the original owner.Didn't notice hood corrosion until after my 5yr warranty was over.Ford should have to be made to replace the factory hoods that were contaminated before they were painted. I shouldn't have to pay out of my own pocket to fix a problem Ford created.

Happened to my 2012 =\. It's under warranty so I just need to take it in, but still, shouldn't be an issue in the first place.
