i have a 2007 v6 with a k&n cold air intake and a flow master exhaust. i wanna do something to add some more power for cheap. what should i do?

Intake and Exhaust is a good place to start, I'd go with some headers next if I were you but that's really the last cheap option. If you haven't invested in a good rim/tire setup that would be a good upgrade, granted not cheap. And for the 4.0 Forced Induction is really the only way to go to be really fast. Race cars ain't cheap! Cheap parts never lead to anything good!

That's great advice, Nikola. I think Carter has picked all the low-hanging fruit with what he has already done.

I installed sequential turn signals yesterday but the car does not feel any faster. :-)

A 3:73 rear end would give you some faster pickup.

If you are considering boost check out mod box they used to make kits for the rangers when I was active on those forums and you can buy in pieces and build power as you go so its not hard on the wallet all at once. Never used their mustang kits but the ranger/bseries kits were pretty good for the price they have a breakdown chart of horsepower on their site based on pulley size/other upgrades. May be worth taking a look at. It uses the older M90's but they are plentiful and cheap now they claim 209-262RWHP depending on what add ons you get. You could also look at underdrive pulleys or heads/cams. Also I had pretty good luck with Tom Morana Racing with my 3.0l ranger he makes some good stuff for the 4.0's as well. He specializes in the V6's.

Any engine mods (except u/d pulley) will not make any noticeable difference without a being tuned for the changes. So for any performance bump a custom tune is going to be necessary. It will change your car's personality from grocery getter to a true sporty ride. A Tuner with a custom tune is the least expensive mod that will actually make a worth while performance improvement. You can try to find a used, unlocked tuner and buy a tune from one of the reputable tuners you see talked about on the forums. I'm partial to VMP but I see their kit price has gone up as the tuner and parts get more expensive. They're in Central Florida so maybe near you too?
Not so cheap, especially if you have to pay for the labor, would be an aluminum drive shaft or a rear gear swap. Changing gears will need a tuner to correct the speedometer.

If you were to go with a positive displacement blower (like Xcharger or the mod box), or even a centri for that matter, you would NOT want underdrive pulleys. The blower is belt driven so if you slow down the belt with underdrive pulleys, you won't get the full positive displacement power.
