Default 7.5 ford racing diff

Can anyone tell me where I can still find one of these. AM used to have them. They are a lot cheaper than the Yukon! And I do read, not wanting to swap whole rear end for an 8.8. I'm kinda in a hurry because I want to have it installed in three weeks while I'm on vacation. thanks

Yeah they will probably be hard to find. It was dated when these cars came out and when the ranger stopped production it was the only other vehicle still using the 7.5. Your best bet would be used or rebuilding what you have.

There isn't a rebuild kit for the 7.5, and even if there were, he would still have the open diff and it sounds like he is looking for limited slip (tlok etc).

You may find that it is actually cheaper to swap rear ends for an 8.8. By the time you pay someone to crack open the 7.5 and do the work, you could probably swap rear ends for about the same cost. Check car-part.com for your area and see if you can find one. A GT from 2005-10 will require you to swap the pinion flange for the V6 driveshaft. Any 2011- 14 Mustang rear end will be a 8.8; some of those do not require swapping the pinion flange.
