I have a question I asked in a seperate topic in the 99-04 specific threads ..
I was given a set of MeccaTune Red Sun HIDs from a friend and we installed them into a 2003 Cobra .. I know the high beam indicator comes on because they are single output HIDs .. but now the fogs won't light up at the same time because the highbeams are telling the car they're on .. I now know how to rewire the switch so the fog lights come on independently from the rest of the lights, my question is .. is this common and is there another way to make them work that you know of, and also is if re-wiring is the only option, will it be safe to use since I plan on adding HID's to the fog lamps as well ? Do you think your 12000K fog lamp HID kit will match the color of my current kit ?
Im interested in getting some HIDs for my 2008 Mustang Gt. Im not sure if I want the single or the bi-xeon. What kind of pricing can you do on the 6000 color ones.PM me both prices for each set. My Bday is coming up and I can tell my girlfriend to get me these for me, but I don't want her to have to spend awhole lot either. So any kinda deal you can do for me would be great.
I'm looking at replacing my old sand blasted headlights with something else, and I was looking at getting a HID conversion kit. Quick question though, are all HID setups have that Euro look? I'm new to the HID thing, so I'm not to familar on how everything works. Also I heard that you lose your high beams when you convert.

When you say euro look do mean lights that emit a blue color? If so, then all of the HID kits we sell except for the 4300K will give off a blueish/white color. The 4300K is the closest to factory installed HIDs and that kits provides a bright, white light. You can retain your high beam function if you go with the dual beam kit. It is a bit more expensive than the single beam kit. The link to the dual beam kit on our site is here: http://www.stangmods.com/Mustang-Bi-...68-bixenon.htm (99-04) and http://www.stangmods.com/2005-Mustan...it-p/00909.htm (05-08). Please let me know if you have any further questions and I would be happy to help.
these kits are awesome as well as the customer service. I had a problem with my one highbeam not fuctioning when i first got the kit. After Matt helped me trouble shoot the kit to see what was wrong, he sent me a brand new kit and just asked that i discard the old kit.
New kit came and works perfect. I will never own a car without HIDs again!
Ive heard some HID kits have a high failure rate.. Or am I mis-informed? And whats the warranty on a dual beam 8000k kit for my 06 gt and how long will these last for?? Have there been many problems??
Thanks!

im also lookin into gettin HID's from stangmonds for my 02gt, but ive heard various things about them not being street legal, so has anyone in tx (houston area) had any legal issues having these on their car? dont feel like being pulled over for somethin stupid like lighting. thanx
I wanted to purchase the HID kit, but then friend of mine did on his Mustang 05 and one of his lights turn off after 2-3 min of working. Either left one or right one... Have you heard of such problems?
