Stunning 1965 Mustang GT Partial Trades
This baby is loaded with AC,PS,Disc brakes on front,paint is an easy 9plus at any show,The engine is a 1977 block with aluminum Edelbrock heads and intake. It has JBA chrome shorty headers, custom exhaust system, DUI custom built HEI distributor, Holly 650. The engine was designed and built to be in the neighborhood of 350 HP, I imagine it is close. The trans is the original C4 with a couple sessions to the shop for upgrades. It has had select shift added for manual shifting and a shift kit for snappy shifts. The cam was selected to be lumpy, but to allow the use of the stock stall-speed torque converter. The rear end is an 8 inch with 3.55 : 1 posi,
The exterior and interior are restored to the factory specs taken from the VIN. It was a completely optioned GT, with the exception of the rally pac,The Pony Interior is a big hit. The white vinyl top is perfect, The paint is about 5 years old and in great shape. It was not a show car paint job, but very good. It has a few road chips, but overall looks terrific.
The suspension is all aftermarket, but original looking. It is from Mustangs Plus in Stockton, CA. and called Grab-a-Track. The rear springs are designed to reverse the stance from the stock nose high look. The front sway bar is much larger than the original and it handles very well.The wheels are duplicates of the original “Styled Steel Wheels” that were optioned on the GT. The originals were 14x5’s and these are 15x7 up front and 15x8 rear.The fenders were rolled for clearance as well with no visible change.
Really a overall stunning rust free west coast car that sounds awesome
