Default Injector shutoff

Hello All:
Need help! I am used to shifting when the car noses over, however with my 2007 Mustg GT shelby (320 HP) the injectors seem to shut off at about 5600 RPM. Ford tells me this is a saftey precaution. To me, it ruins performance. Is this a yuneable item, can the rev limit be changed. Thanks in advance/ 51derrill

Buy a tuner and you can set your rev limiter as high as you want. Be careful how high you go. The highest most GT's go is 6800 rpm.

Mpaint99:
Thank you for the input! I have a Diablo Predator Tuner, but, don't know how to use it. Purchased new. when attempting to input new tunes, there are no options. When changing to the three tunes that should be available, there are no options, just proceed. When I did, the car was inoperable. I restored the (saved) factory tune, it was back to 5600 RPM injector shutoff. If I attempt to use "Modify Tune", can I simply increase the rev limiter, without disturbing any other factors? Should I increase timing at all? Thank you for your help! Perhaps one day I can learn enough to help someone else.
Thanks Again/ bill

I got your email, the predator won't work. Stock limiter is at 6200rpm, your tach is off or you are glancing at it too quick.

I have a SCT tuner which allows you to adjust all parameters. I know nothing about the Diablo. Contact the company you purchased it from and explain what you told us. Any aftermarket companys I have dealt with have been very good about addressing problems.

Default Predator Limitations

Justin:

The information you sent me on the Preadator tuner is eronous! You state that the Predator was not capable of adjusting the Rev Limit on my 2007Shelby GT. That is false information! I now have the Preadator working and I can adjust all parameters, including the Speed Limit and the Rev Limit. I would like to think this is a honest error, however it appears that you make these statemets to secure new business, perhaps invoking a few white lies! I hope I am wrong about you, as you appear to have quite a following. If the SCT "Is" in fact a good unit, then it should stand on it's own merrits, and resorting to subtrifugejust shouldn't happen!
Disappointed/ Bill

Bill, first off, you never gave me complete information about your situation. Secondly, and you can check the shelby forums to verify, there was a point where paxton/diablo was sending out predators that would not work on Shelby GTs because of the unique FRPP calibration that they come with. If you got this to work, it sounds like Diablo has since fixed this issue (though it should never have been an issue in the first place), and you should have done your research in the first place. Your erroneous post is not appreciated.

Justin:
I am sorry if I offended you! However, I asked for assistance, and a professional replied. As a professional, I expected accurate responses.I think I was pretty thorough with my description of my issues, the Predator and my vehicle. One would think that you, as a professional, would familarize himself on any products in competition with your tuner of choice, the SCT. Had I not asked another professional, about this issue, I would have sent you a BRAND NEW UNLOCKED Diablo, for a credit of $175, being $400 new, that is a heck of a resale value. I also would have sent you $400 for the "New" tunes that, as it turns out, were already programmed into the Preadator. As Istated in the beginning, I am sorry that you took umbrage with my statements. I also, take umbrage with your descimination ofuninformed information about your competitors. If I were in your position, I think I would make certain that Iwas fully informed about an issue before commiting it to print in a national forum! You don't appreciate my writing you about this issue, and I , certainly don't appreciate being missled!

Good Day/ Bill

Bill, it's not my responsibility to support Diablo's customers. I support my customers and the SCT products that I sell them.

Well said and understood. Fortunately for me Diablo provided a download that fixed all my problems. By the way, Rev Limits are adjustable with my predator. Thanks for replying
Best/ Bill
