Default Do I need a MAFIA?

So i was told to ask here about mr problem. I have a 04 mustang gt with a vortech v-2sq and a 2 coreprocharger intercooler, everything else is stock. My car dyno was 290 whp and 311 tq. My set up is blow through. Apparantely my 90mm lightning maf is the problem. According to my tunner, the maf jumps on the dyno graphat high rpms and the car starts to ping when advancing the timing. So the solution is to get a MAFIA with the 90mm lightning maf. Does this sound right or should i just get another maf?

There are most likely several issues here...

First, if the maf is still in the stock housing, there is a lot of turbulence from adapting the 3" IC tubing up to the 4" maf.

The maf acts like its in a 3" tube, and pegs very early.

The tonsil style sensor does not always sample very well in blow-through.

I would recommend getting the 05+ slot style HPX sensor that I carry:

It solves several issues, it has plenty of range, and samples well in blow-through.

You can mount it directly in your IC tubing with one of my slot style flanges:

Or you can use my 75mm blow-through housing:

Here is a picture of the new 75mm housing with gun metal annodize, I am shipping them now, I also have them in polished.
