Default performance tune for 05 v6

noticed with the vmp 87 performance tune with partial intake my crusing rpms on the freeway are quite a bit higher. Is that normal?

car is manual and tuner is Xcal3

Maybe your clutch is slipping? There is no way for a tune to change cruising RPM, that is a function of transmission gear, rear end gears, and tire size.

well the car has 36,000 miles on it i bought it when it had 33,400 could the clutch really be bad? Honestly tho it does feel kinda unusual i thought maybe i was just a ****ty driver since this is my first manual car but maybe not. Every now and then when taking off from first gear usually turning, the car gets real jumpy and jerky. Like its not catching or letting go smoothly. Like i said i thought maybe i was just a ****ty driver but i dunno.

Another issue ive recently noticed is some minor gear grinding. Usually at high RPMs but every now and then even shifting back into first after a stop.

Very discouraging to have clutch/tranny issues on a practically new car!!!!

any advice input is appreciated.

my brother had his clutch replaced in his 06 around the same time as you, hard pedal, gear griding, clutch was worn out, and they put in a new slave cylinder too

first gear is 3.95:1, so it can get a little jumpy

that sucks ass!!! lol well i really appreciate your help thanks a bunch.

would you recommend just going with the stock clutch and flywheel or do you have any better alternatives? car is pretty much a daily driver so i want a light pedal but still good performance. id like to get an aluminum flywheel....

btw the car is stock aside from your intake and tuner.
