You could run 12-15psi on a low compression motor and 90 octane, but you're talking about giving up a ALOT of power, like 50+rwhp.
I understand. That's still waaay down the line.. I am looking at your guys R2300 Stage 1 kit and I will most likely get that kit and run it on the stock motor for some time. Thanks again for making my choice easier to decide

.. damn.. makes me wonder about how much power I am really losing with my current Vortech V3 non-intercooled set up. Brenspeed sent me a canned 90 octane/8 psi tune and been running it ever since.
I have been told it's 400whp on 93 octane gas.. I wouldn't be surprised if I was only making 335whp when it gets hot! It would explain the consistent 13.0@103mphs I was netting at the track. Still have yet to trap better than 109mph.. heck, a M90/w500 VMP tune would still put my current set up to shame, both on and off the track
Funny thing is, I am pretty happy with my set up the way it is.
We now have the upper pullies available to control boost, so you run the stock crank and water pump pulley (which is much better). You can run down to about 7-8psi with a stock crank and 3.6" upper, or 10-11psi with a 3.3" upper.
How much are these alternate pulleys? and can someone order a kit with those pulleys, rather than buy the whole kit and then have to order additional parts?
What would something like that run?? about $6,500 total? not including shipping to Alaska 99502?
