Police Interceptors
I've heard the P71 Crown Vic's are pretty beastly cars. Does anyone here own one?
I wanna buy one and mod it out lol

They are great cars, so much so that a few of the Departments around here are not moving to the charger or the impala.

The interceptor is not the myth it is made out to be. It is the exact same car and engine as a regular crown vic with a few minor changes.
Beefed up suspension for pursuits.
Beefed up alternator for accessories like lights and sirens.
Beefed up transmission cooler for extended periods of idling.
Disabled speed governor.
The added bonus of driving an interceptor is that it is gauranteed to be ragged to within an inch of its life by the previous owners, your local police department.
Don't buy one.

I drive one at work. It's not slow by any means, but it's nothing like our cars. Let's just say when I drive my 05 GT after I drive my work car there's a big difference. That's why the state police are using them here for the interstates. Pretty nice ones too.

i beat the ***** out of mine at work every day... detuned they have to be because they have no off the line power, probably a good idea because during rainy weather we would be crashing. seem to have good gas milage because i can beat the car for 100 miles and still have half a tank of gas when the shift is over
