You know...We COULD all meet at the Saleen Store at the Irvine Spectrum...It's right at the 405/5 merge, and would be something I'm sure ALL of us would be more than happy to drool over. From there, we could do a cruise out to any of the canyons, or out to the PCH and through HB/whatever...
Thats a really good idea but what about the uppitycops of Irvine? Theymight not appreciate all the noiseand speedwe'll be bringing thru there.............These are a2 spots i thought of.....#1 PCH at Warner theres a huge beach parking lot there, then we can cruise down PCH as far as you guys want....or #2 we could start in south county at around Dana point or Capistrano Beach area and cruise up north......just my 2 pennies
Honestly, I don't think it'll be all that bad, at least, not if we're not peeling out through there and trying to go drag racing or anything...As for going to the parking lot at Warner & PCH, well...You gotta pay for parking there. And once you leave, you have to pay to go back in again. But that seems to be the case just about anywhere in the beach communities.

Anyway, just food for thought...

I spoke with Daboss this morning and we are going to meet up & recon the route for this cruise. Realize that the cruise is still 4 weeks away so we have time to get everything in order in regaurds to route, radios, meeting point, maps, lunch, etc. It looks like this is going to be an really good cruise/ turnout and I'm looking forward to it. I will let you know as the plans are made and all put together -- thanks all!

+++++++ 1!

Pros:
-- Perhaps Saleen would welcome our group with freebies?
--Or a hosted tour of the Saleen headquarters (justa couple miles away)???
-- The Irvine Spectrum Mall is a good place for significant others to hang out while the boys play.

Cons:
-- Saleen could snub us altogether.
-- Parking at the Spectrum on a weekend can be bad, unless we're there before "normal" business hours (i.e., Sunday morning).

Maybe Saleen would open up their store an hour early for us to peruse and buy stuff (superchargers? LCAs? body kits?). I'd be willing to at least call up Saleen and ask...

The parking's actually gotten better since they opened up the parking garage, so it's not too bad...And they DO have mall security there that patrols pretty well, so if someone does end up leaving a vehicle there, it shouldn't be too bad...And I seriously doubt that Saleen would say, "We don't want you here."

I may have to bring my dad for this trip, if I can convince him to finish remodeling the living room in time...

I'm sure saleen would like us to be there. Some average people walk by, they see 30 mustangs out front... That has to be good business for them...
