RE: Oregon
Ron,
As you can probably guess I didn't make it on the 20th either, had a family "commitment" that wifey informed me of the night before. Anyway, when is the next get together there in Vancouver?

Never argue with the wife. Learned that a LONG time ago. We are working on a date in June right now. The Mt. Hood Mustang Club and another group coming out of the Tacoma area. I will keep you posted and it will be added to our calender as soon as it gets pinned down.

For those that are interested, there will be a All Ford Car Show and Swap Meet this Saturday June 3rd at the Washington County Fair Grounds in Hillsboro, OR. The Fairgrounds are located directly across the street from the Hillsboro Airport.

RE: Oregon
ok guys i got a 2002 mustang GT with an automatic (when you buy used you cant pick and choose options lol) i have the mac straight shot intake and since money is an issue i pulled the stock mufflers and replaced them with magnaflows (couldnt afford a full catback setup ) im going to vancouver in 8 days i am getting my sct dyno tune i got my appointment set up and everything my question is this, given my mods (relatively simple) does anyone know how much power i might be able to get from this does anyone have one or know anyone who does or maybe seen one on the dyno? i really hope the sct dyno tune gives my some good power anyone have anything do say i would love to hear it thanks

RE: Oregon
Do you have any expectations? Also keep in mind that it is not always the power gain, but the shape of the HP and Torque curve. Lets say you only gain 20 foot pounds of torque at peak, but the gain is accross the entire curve? Same with HP. Its not always the peak number, but what is "under the curve".

RE: Oregon
i only have the expectaion of improved performance i believe my car came factory with 260 horses is that correct? and is that at the tires or flywhel? if its the flywheel i will be happier than hell (for now lol) with 275 at the tires but if that 260 stock IS at the tires ill be happy with 300 bottom line any improvement is good i just hope its a noticeable one i have no insane expectations but i hope its a good gain i dont have delusions of leaving with 455 HP and 542 fpt lol but anything is better than nothing plus i really like tha fact that ill be leaving with a dyno number thats exact and i wont be guessing with what i got i will KNOW for sure

RE: Oregon
That is flywheel rating. Figure a 15 -20 % loss through the drivetrain (automatics have a higher per centage loss) which would give you a "net" of roughly 210-215 HP at the tire. With your bolt on's you and an SCT Tune I would expect maybe 230-235 at the tire. This 02 had a cat back and CAI, and SCT Dyno tune and he saw 240 rwhp. http://home.fastspecialties.com/inde...=detail&id=169 (It's a GT with a Mach hood he did himself).
